Injective: Reshaping for the Future

Startups are born from innovative solutions and as the business prospers and grows, it is normal that some previously conceived concepts and ideas undergo changes.

In this sense, nothing more natural than a rebranding. If your business has expanded to offer new products or services, rebranding is a great way to show that your business is evolving.

In this regard, the Injective Protocol, the first cross-chain protocol built for DeFi apps, is rebranding, to highlight the evolution of Injective’s mission, products and services.

The Injective Chain is implemented as a Cosmos SDK module, built with Ethermint (EVM on Tendermint). When Injective was conceived, decentralized finance (DeFi) was still a remote reality and although there were some promising protocols, Ethereum reigned almost absolutely.

This has completely changed. Many L1 layer protocols emerged, such as Polkadot, Binance Smart Chain and Avalanche, bringing fast transactions and low fees. Ethereum still reigns and will likely continue to be the most used L1 blockchain layer, especially with the arrival of Ethereum 2.0 and its migration from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake, which will bring scalability, faster transactions and lower fees. However, it is also unanimous that there is room for everyone, and many protocols, such as those mentioned above, will play a prominent role in the market. Even more so with the arrival of DeFi solutions.

With DeFi’s brilliance, more than ever, the need for multichain solutions is welcomed as this allows users to utilize DeFi solutions based on different protocols. With this evolution of the market and in order to adapt to the needs that arose, the initial goal of the Injective was refined:to build a decentralized cross-chain protocol that would allow for derivatives trading, while also being Ethereum-compatible. While Injective will remain receptive and functional for native Ethereum users, the goal is also to work across new blockchains, even with non Ethereum-compatible protocols.

Injective aims to be the DeFi Hub of the new internet economy, being the first real custom protocol for cross-chain DeFi applications, enabling any application to be both Ethereum-compatible and interoperable across chains.

Injective Hub

To emphasize this paradigm shift, Injective’s rebranding, to be reflected in its website, products and services, aims to illustrate the expansion of Injective’s mission and ecosystem.

The difference between its previous logo design and the new design comes not only with a new look, but also with bold strokes that mark the beginning of a new era for Injective.

About Injective

Injective is the first cross-chain protocol built for decentralized finance applications. On the Injective exchange, anyone can access, create, and trade unlimited DeFi markets such as futures and perpetuals. Developers can also build cross-chain Ethereum-compatible projects that are lightning fast and achieve instant transaction finality. Injective is backed by a prominent group of stakeholders including Pantera Capital, one of the most renowned venture capital firms in the world, Mark Cuban and the leading cryptocurrency exchange, Binance.
